Destiny-The Purpose of Our Existence
One of the great problems with the church today is that we don't know why we exist. It is not for meetings and programs. It is not to build buildings. We go through our same routines and never affect our generation.
The Bible says that we will rule cities and judge Angels. We are not prepared for these things today. The Church has to be able to solve its' own problems before we can help solve the world's problems. We have been saved "from sin" for the purpose of the Kingdom of God. We are just pilgrims passing through. We are the People of God, Ambassadors for Christ, here to affect our society with the Word of the Living God. For too long, the world has had a greater influence on the church than the Church has had on the world. We must begin to believe that we have come to the Kingdom of God for a purpose and find our destiny.
To find our destiny, we must learn how to pray. Every January, I commit to fasting and praying for several days. If you have a prayer request, please send it to me and I will pray for you. Prayer is communication with God, to find His will for our life. Many of us spend time doing things where God has not directed us. We need to hear the voice of God and find His will for our lives. Can we know the will of God? YES! God wants to direct your steps and lead you into His purpose for you, but we have to tune in to Him and tune out all the other voices that call to us.
Find some time to spend quality time with the Lord. You don't have to say anything to Him. Just enjoy His presence and spend time with Him. It will set the tone for the rest of your year.
