June Update 2010

Dear Friends,

I just ended a week’s vacation with my family. Sharon, Braxton, my daughter Laura and her husband Aubrey, and their two girls, Savannah and Addison just spent a week in south Louisiana. We were able to swim, fish, play and even go to the zoo. It has been a very busy year for me thus far, and the next six months will also be full. God teaches us to rest and to make sure we spend time with our families. I am so glad for my wife, children and grandchildren. We enjoy our time together. They deal with a lot of things while I travel. I try to make sure they get some of my best when I am in town and endeavor to make our times memorable. I encourage you to take some time with your family this summer. Talk to each other and share some fun and laughter together.

I recently returned from my trip to Europe. The time in Paris was very good as I met with pastors from Horizon, International. Robert Baxter pastors a great church in Paris and has helped to launch many other ministries. Pastors came from different places around the world. Gordon Green and I were able to share at a business seminar after the conference on a Tuesday night. We had a good crowd and a lot of interest in understanding Kingdom business dynamics. I then traveled to Brussels to visit Paul and Rebecca Petrie. They have been used by God to reach so many nations. Rebecca fell many years ago and broke her neck. She continues to improve and is a blessing to all who meet her. She and Paul have written a book entitled “Falling into His Grace”. It is a great testimony of trusting in the Lord.

Gordon Green and his wife Selena and I traveled to Torun, Poland and taught a number of seminars in many settings. The people seemed to greatly appreciate our teachings. We met with several different businesses and gave counsel. This is so encouraging to me to see how people respond to teaching from God’s perspective. On the last day, Gordon spoke three times at the University of Kopernicus. Every class received some insight to what is happening in the marketplace today and how it can effect them. One of the things that Gordon drilled home was that businesses today are looking for character and not just skill sets. Skills can be taught, but character is something that has to come from within. Hopefully this will set these students on a course to start seeking character, which ultimately can only truly come from God. The Dean of Business invited us back to be with them in December for a large business fair they have at the school.

The next few months are very busy and carry a great need of prayer. I lead two teams to Guatemala in July. Guatemala has had a volcanic eruption, floods and violence in the last couple of months. Please pray for our teams that we can reach out and touch lives with the power of God. One of the teams will have father/sons on the trip. We pray that God will help us teach these young men about becoming a man of God.

In August I will return to Filadelphia Church in Morelia, Mexico. I love this church and Pastor Eric, Luz Rodriguez and their son Issac.

In September I travel to Kitale, Kenya to help dedicate the new LeRoy Curtis Training Center. This is the building we have just completed. We will teach a business seminar there and in the city of Nahyruru. Missionary Larry Hardin is a man I met recently who has a school in the city of Nahyruru. We will teach business and teach a pastors school. We trust God to help us in both of these endeavors. I need to raise $3500 for this trip. If you can help, please send it to our ministry or go to my web site and you can give online.

I also want to continue to ask for your help in raising money for a new vehicle for missionary Larry Neese in Kenya. He has served faithfully for many years and is driving a 1993 vehicle that has seen its best days. We have been given a $10,000 matching grant. Recently $5,000 was given. We need another $5,000 to receive all the grant money. You can give through our website if you desire.

Two needs for missions:

A pastor in Costa Rica needs a laptop computer. If you have one available, I am going down on June 30 and would be able to take it. Please call me if you need more info.
A missionary in Ireland is looking for someone who is administrative to help them. Would you be willing to give a year or two to the mission field and use your gift to help with a great ministry?

My upcoming schedule:

June 19-20: Brighton Church, Houston, TX

June 26-27: Christ the King Church, St. Louis, MO

June 30 – July 6: Costa Rica

July 11: Faith Covenant Church, Daphne, AL

July 12-27: Guatemala Mission Trips

August 15: Abundant Life Church, Nashville, TN

August 22: Eastside Assembly of God, Panama City, FL

August 26-29: Filadelphia Church, Morelia, MX

September 11-12: Bridge of Hope Fellowship, Hopkinsville, KY

There have been great testimonies of God’s power in these last few months. Healings, and miracles have taken place in peoples lives. Please consider sowing a seed into our ministry. Our goal has been to act in obedience to God’s voice and He would meet our needs. We continue to listen and obey.

May God bless you in these days.

Reaching Nations, Changing Lives,

Ronald
