Dear Co-Laborers,

I can’t believe how hot it has been this summer. I thought about praying for God to send me to somewhere like Switzerland next year during the summer. I don’t know what kind of response I would get. I believe God has a plan for our lives. We need to believe that our steps are ordered of the Lord. So many times we pray for God to lead us, and then we He does, we don’t believe it is Him. We need to remind ourselves that God’s ways are not only higher, but different than ours. God is concerned about more than this moment. He is interested in what we will be doing for the rest of our lives. When I was seven years old, my mother made me start taking piano lessons. I took them for six years. I kind of enjoyed it the first year or so, but I became very tired of all the practice sessions. I never dreamed that being able to play the piano would help me so much in my life. I have been able to play for all types of events. I have played the piano with some well known ministers, played in countries like Russia and played for my family. It has been a continual blessing for me and just when I think that I might not have any more opportunities, God opens up a door for me to lead worship or sing a song for His glory.

I am saying to you today to not despise the moment you are in. God is working out His plan and purpose for you. We are in the timings of the Lord, not our own time. Allow God to complete in you those things He has begun.

The last trip to Costa Rica was a blessing. My long time friend and a member of our board, Clayton Holloway, came with his wife Rita and son Michael. He preached a word on “Change your mind, Change your Life”. It had a dramatic effect on the church we were in. There was a great team from Christ the King Church, St. Louis, MO. They have been several times. These young people shared in music and various ministries. We shared in schools and churches. Three people came from Mobile. They have come through Wings of Life Ministries. This is a ministry to those with drug and alcohol addictions. God set these people free and they shared their testimonies with the Costa Ricans and with the rest of our team. God met us in powerful ways. I am so thankful that God still sets people FREE!

I was able to preach at an outdoor meeting and six people made a decision to follow Christ! I Many children wanted prayer and made decisions for Christ. I also ministered at Gethsemene Baptist Church and First Assembly of God. The altars were filled with people wanting ministry.

I am looking forward to this fall and all that it will bring. There is a fresh breeze of the Spirit of God moving. Please come to any of these meetings if you are able.
