December Update 2009

Decembler Update

Dear Friends,

It seems that we just started this year and now it is ending. I am amazed at how fast time seems to go. The truth is that it is a constant and does not change. It is what we do with our time that counts. My prayer is that I will use my time to extend the Kingdom of God. The Bible teaches us to count our days. They are important. Now any of you that know me believe that I like to enjoy days also. I advocate that it is important to take time to fish, hunt, golf and hang out with friends. Those are needful to bring rest to us. Those times also build relationships which bring life to us. I just think that too many people make excuses rather than use their time for Kingdom practices. There are always those that tell me that sometime in the future they want to go on a mission trip. Some of those have been telling me that for 30 years. When will it happen? Do all the planets have to line up? There will always be a crises of some nature or event that needs us, but I ask you to consider what you will do for the coming year. Jesus came to us. Who will we go to and share His message with this season?

My time in Kenya was great. We were able to finish the LeRoy Curtis Training Center. All it needs now is a coat of paint and furnishings. We need about $10,000 to buy chairs and sound equipment and also some office furniture. If you would like to help with that, please let me know. The pastors conference was a great success. We had 127 pastors attend for three days. Dwayne Higgason and I taught them. Bill Watts was supposed to teach, but hurt his back. Please continue to pray for Bill for his back to be completely healed. I received a note from George Wafula, the new director of Kenya Ministry Training Institute and he said that he had received many calls from the pastors sharing how the conference had touched their lives.

This year we were able to:

Finish two pastors homes in Costa Rica. They are no longer living on dirt floors and they have a solid roof over their heads and room to live. Thanks to Grace Temple, Hattiesburg, MS and First Assembly of God, Tuscaloosa, AL for making this possible.
Traveled to Nicaragua to visit Missionary Tom Fritz. We hope to take some teams down to build water storage units for some of the poor next year.
Took two teams to Costa Rica for evanglism.
Ministered at Filadelpia Church in Morelia, Mexico. God blessed us abundantly.
Spoke at a men’s conference in Poland.
Led a business conference in Poland.
Led a team to Kenya for construction and a pastors conference. Thanks to Grace Temple, Hattiesburg, MS for making this possible.

We were able to do these things because of our faithful supporters. I am so grateful for those who stand with us to proclaim the Kingdom around the world. Next year holds great possibilities. I will share in January my schedule for next year.

I plan to spend a week praying and fasting in January. If you have something you would like for me to pray with you about, please send me an email and I will put it on my list. We had many answers to prayer this past year.

I am home for the Christmas season. I will not travel out again until January. I do preach at Faith Covenant on Dec. 27.

I wish all or you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I pray that God will bless you and that you will find a way to extend His Kingdom to those around you.
Reaching Nations, Changing Lives,

Ronald
